Perth to Brisbane

Good morning everyone.

Today I'm up at King's Park just above Perth city which you can see in the background. The sun has just risen to another spectacular day. Yesterday after leaving Fremantle I came over here to King's Park which is a huge botanical garden covering seven square kilometres.

This is a tiny part of it here with some impressive trees that were planted here back in 1930. This is probably the best example of a park with native vegetation. There's about 12,000 varieties of native plant that grows here in Western Australia. Almost all of them don't grow anywhere else including on the east coast because there is a huge desert a couple of thousand kilometres wide which separates this part of the country from everywhere else. It is really interesting to see the unique vegetation around here.

I'm back up here this morning before heading back and packing up and catching a flight across this amazing country. It should be quite a clear day so I should be able to see all the deserts heading back to Brisbane. That's my plan for today to head back.

There won't be too many video diaries in the near future because I do have a very big trip I'm planning and will be doing fairly soon but I will get some more piano compositions up when I get time and I may be able to get a weekend trip in as well if I can. There won't be many travel diaries for a while but I'll certainly see if I can get some compositions up.

Anyway It's been a fantastic two weeks here in Perth. It has been absolutely amazing.
